Coimbra

Coimbra is a city of historical importance in Portugal. It is a rainy town, 110 miles northeast of Lisbon, with a celebrated university, in which George Buchanan was a professor, where he was accused of heresy and thrown into prison, and where he translated the Psalms into Latin.
