Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary

Coringa Wildlife Sanctuary is located in the East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is located at a distance of about 15 km from Kakinada on Kakinada Yanam Road.

The Sanctuary derives its named after a tiny village coringa, which is a part of Godavari Mangroves. It was declared as a wildlife sanctuary by Govt. of Andhra Pradesh in 1978 to conserve the mangrove vegetation of the estuary, extending in an area of about 235 sq km.
