Countess of Blessington
Countess of Blessington (1789-1849), born Marguerite Gardiner in Knockbrit, was an Irish lady celebrated for her beauty and wit. She figured much in intellectual circles in London. She had her salon at Kensington. She was on intimate terms with Byron, and published "Conversations with Byron," and wrote several novels.
