Country dance

Country dance is a form of traditional social English dance.

It is performed by two or more couples in a set. They dance facing each other. Each dancer dances to his or her partner and each couple dances to the other couples in the set.

When there are many dancers, men and women dancers form long lines facing each other and dance.
