Creuzer

Creuzer (1771-1858) was a learned German philologist, born at Marburg. He became professor of Ancient History and Philology at Heidelberg. His chief works included his autobiography, one by which he is most widely known, "Symbolik und Mythologie der Alten Völker, besonders der Griechen", and "Symbolism and Mythology of Ancient Peoples, especially the Greeks".
