Crispus Attucks

Crispus Attucks (c. 1723-70) was an American revolutionary. He was an abolitionist, and was believed to have been either a freed or an escaped slave. He was killed by British forces on March 5, 1770 in the Bostan Massacre, and is regarded as the first man killed in the American revolution. He was one of the five colonists killed in the massacre.
