Cryptanalysis

Cryptanalysis traces its origin from two Greek words. Kryptós means "hidden" while analýein means ‘to loosen’ or ‘to untie’. It is the practice of codebreaking or cracking the code. Cryptanalysis is the study of methods to get to the exact meaning of encrypted information and typically involves finding a secret key. Thus meaning is obtained without access to the secret information which is general requirement for doing so. In the days of Cyber security threats Cryptanalysis assumes a lot of significance.
