Dehing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary
Dehing Patkai Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in Dibrugarh and Tinsukia districts of Assam in India. It is spread over an area of 111.19 sq km and is the only rainforest of the state, which receives 4,000 mm rainfall annually. It is located at about 80 km from Dibrugarh town.The sanctuary derives its name from river Dehing and the Patkai mountain range that stretches deep inside Arunachal Pradesh.
Dehing-Patkai is an important elephant habitat.
Dehing-Patkai has one of the largest species of reptiles besides more than 30 species of butterflies.
