Dharani Biswas

Dharani Biswas was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India, born on 24.08.1902 at Mymensingh, now in Bangladesh. He was son of Rajani Biswas. He belonged to Anusheelan Samity. He underwent three months prison term in the Non- cooperation movement (1921-22). He was arrested in connection with Putia Maail Action on 02.10.1929 and senttenced to six years prison term, and deported to Andamans. There, he took part in first hunger strike in 1933. Even after repatriation and release, he confined in several prison without trial. His total jail period was about 10 years.
