Dharmavaram
Dharmavaram is a small town in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh in India which is world famous for its intricate and exquisite silk sarees and leather puppets. It is also famous for Sri Laxmi Chennakeshwara Temple which is renowned for its architectural brilliance and for the perennial waterspout and pillars, which produces seven different musical notes when struck.It is located at about 47 kilometres from Anantapur.
It goes without saying that Dharmavaram is a well-known silk and cotton weaving industrial area.
Dharmavarm sarees have broad borders adorned with gold brocade designs. The sarees are heavy and do not follow any colour contrast. Each creation is a masterpiece. No two sarees of the same kind is produced, all are single of their own kind.
