Dhawaleswaram
Dhawaleswaram is the name of a place about 4 kilometres away from Rajahmundry in Andhra Pradesh in India. It is located close to the National Highway 5.The place is known for several reasons, including many temples, the first barrage on the Godavari River, and a museum.
The barrage was built by Sir Arthur Cotton. Sir Arthur Cotton Museum houses pictorial depictions of how the barrage was built.
Sir Laxmi Janardhan Swami Temple is located on top of a hill. A temple dedicated to Lord Shiva is located next to the hill. Another temple is located along the banks of Godavari River, close to the Pushkara Ghat.
