Dibang Valley District
Dibang Valley is a district in the State of Arunachal Pradesh in India. It is located in the North-Easternmost corner of the state between 95° 15'E - 96° 35'E Longitudes, and 28° 22'N- 29° 27'N Latitudes, and is bounded by Lohit district in the south-east, Lower Dibang Valley in the South, East Siang in the West and by China in the North and North-East. It has an area of 9129 sq km. Population of this district was 7,948 as per census 2011.The district came into existence on June 1, 1980 with its headquarter at Anini, which is located at 1968 meters above sea level.
Dibang Valley consists of undulated-rugged mountains with breath-taking green valleys, deep-down gorges, enchanting waterfalls, natural lakes of various dimensions and innumerable meandering rivers and turbulent streams.
