Duchesse de Chevreuse
Duchesse de Chevreuse (1600-1679), also Marie de Rohan-Montbazon, was a French princess who played an important part in the Fronde and in the plots against Richelieu and Mazarin. She conspired against the ministerial government during Louis XIII’s reign (1610–43) and the regency (1643–51) for Louis XIV. Her Life has been written by Victor Cousin.Nearby pages
