Duke Calomarde

Duke Calomarde (1773-1842) was a Spanish statesman. He was minister of Ferdinand VII. He was a violent enemy of liberal principles and measures, and a reactionary and obnoxious to the people. He was arrested for treachery, but escaped into France by bribing his captors.
