Eaton Hodgkinson

Eaton Hodgkinson (1789-1861) was a distinguished English engineer, born at Anderton, near Norwich. He was professor of Engineering in University College, London. He became a leading authority on bridge construction, and carried through elaborate experiments testing the strength of iron girders. He co-operated in planning the Britannia Tubular Bridge.
