Elberfeld

Elberfeld was an independent German town until 1929, but now a municipal subdivision of the city of Wuppertal a name adopted in 1930 for the enlarged newly incorporated areas. It was traditionally an important manufacturing commercial centre, 16 miles North-East of Düsseldorf and was noted for its textiles and dye-works.
