Epistolary novel

Epistolary novel is a novel that is written in the form of an Epistile.

It is technique of writing in which a novelist easily includes multiple narrators who tell the story in their letters.

The 17th century novel, Love-Letters Between a Nobleman and his Sister penned by Aphra Behn is considered as the first epistolary novel in English in the real sense of the term.

In the 18th century, epistolary novels became popular. One of the most importent novelist of the time was Samuel Richardson who penned two famous novels 'Pamela' and 'Clarissa'.
