Essex

Essex is a ceremonial county in the southeast of England, between Suffolk on the North and Kent in the South, faces the German Ocean on the East. It is well watered with streams. It has an undulating surface, is chiefly agricultural, and brewing is an important industry, and the oyster fisheries of the Colne are noteworthy enterprises. Chelmsford is the county town.
