Eudora Welty

Eudora Welty (1909-2001), full name Eudora Alice Welty, was a US short story writer, novelist and photographer. She is known for rich evocation of the South in her work. She received Pulitzer Prize in 1973 for novel The Optimist's Daughter and President Medal of Freedom in 1980.
