Exposure

Contact with a substance by swallowing, breathing, or touching the skin or eyes. Exposure may be short-term (acute exposure), of intermediate duration, or long-term (chronic exposure).

Exposure is also the contact or co-occurrence of a stressor with a receptor.

In Financial Market, Exposure is the measure of vulnerability to loss, usually expressed in dollars or units.
