FILIPPINO LIPPI
FILIPPINO LIPPI (1460-1504), Italian painter, son of the succeeding; is presumed to have been a pupil of BOTTICELLI'S; his earliest known work is the "Vision of St. Bernard" in Florence, and he executed various works in Bologna, Genoa, and Rome; painted frescoes and altar-pieces, and scenes in the lives of St. Peter and St. Paul.
