Frances Perkins

Frances Perkins (1882 - 1965), born Fannie Coralie Perkins, was a US workers-rights advocate. She served as the 4th United States secretary of labor from 1933 to 1945. A member of the Democratic Party, Perkins was the first woman ever to serve in a presidential cabinet during President Franklin D. Roosevelt's regime.
