François Raynouard

François Raynouard (1761-1836) was a French littérateur and philologist, born in Provence. He was of the Girondist party at the time of the Revolution, and imprisoned. He wrote poems and tragedies, but eventually gave himself up to the study of the language and literature of Provence.
