Gabriel Garcia Marquez

Gabriel Garcia Marquez (1927-2014), full name Gabriel José de la Concordia García Márquez, was a Colombian writer and novelist. He is one of Latin America's best known writers. He also wrote short stories. He is known for lyrical, fantastic style with 'magic realism'. Marquez is best known in the world for One Hundred Years of Solitude. He received Nobel Prize for literature in 1982.
