Gambia

Gambia, more often the Gambia, is a country in Africa, Region - Western Africa, Capital - Banjul, Surface area - 11,295 sq km and Currency - dalasi.

It was formerly a British settlement lying along the banks of the Gambia as far as Georgetown, with a protectorate to Barraconda; it enjoys a separate government under a British administrator, and produces hides, cotton, rice, &c.
