Genetics
Genetics is the study of heredity and of the mechanisms by which genetic factors are transmitted from one generation to the next. Dysfunctional genes, or gene mutations, can cause illness, and can be passed from parents to children. In addition, some people have a genetic, or inherited, predisposition to certain diseases, such as cancer, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and mental disorders.Nearby pages
