Gooty Fort

Gooty Fort is in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh in India. It is located at about 52 km from Anantapur at a height of 300 metres on a hill. It is one of the oldest hill forts in the state, and is remarkable for water resources available at such a height.

The fort was built during the Vijayanagara era. It has a shape of a shell with 15 main doors.
