Grandma Moses

Grandma Moses (1860-1961), born Anna Mary Robertson, was a US artist - folk artist and painter. She was married to Thomas Salmon Moses in 1887 who died in died in 1927. She began painting in earnest at the age of 78 and is a prominent example of a newly successful art career at an advanced age. As a painter she is known for her primitive style.
