Grigor Magistros

Grigor Magistros (990-1058) was an Armenian scholar, linguist, writer, poet, and official. He served as governor-general of the province of Edessa and named a duke by Byzantine Emperor Constantine I. Homeric Greek and contemporary Arabic influences are manifested in his works.
