Hariharnath temple

Hariharnath temple is at Sonepur in Saran district of Bihar in India. It is situated at Konhara, the bank of the confluence of the Ganga and the Gandak (also known as Shaligrami).

There is a mythological story attached to this place which says that an elephant was rescued from the jaws of a crocodile by Lord Vishnu (Hari) in the presence of Hara (Lord Shiva) and other gods.

A fair is held here in Kartik (November) every year.
