Harriet Beecher Stowe
Harriet Beecher Stowe (1811 — 96), full name Harriet Elizabeth Beecher Stowe, was a US novelist. She was sister of Henry Ward Beecher and Catherine Beecher. "Uncle Tom's Cabin" (1852) was her famous novel that strengthened the contemporary abolitionist cause. The novel contained graphic descriptions of the sufferings caused by slavery.Wisdom & Quotes
