Hathras

Hathras is an important commercial town in the state of Uttar Pradesh in India. It is the capital city of the District of the same name. District Hathras is now rechristened Mahamaya Nagar.

It is located at 97 miles South-East of Delhi. The city is known for its exports of large quantities of sugar, grain, cotton, &c., and is famed for its beautiful carved stone-and-wood-work.
