Henry Kirke White

Henry Kirke White (1785-1806) was a minor English poet, born at Nottingham. He published a book of poems in 1803, which procured him the patronage of Southey. He got a sizarship in St John's, Cambridge. Through over-zeal in study undermined his constitution and died of consumption, Southey editing his "Remains".
