Hermes Trismegistus

Hermes Trismegistus, or the Thrice-greatest, was an Egyptian or Egyptian god to whose teachings or inspirations the Neo-Platonists ascribed the great body of their peculiar doctrines, and whom they regarded as an incarnation or impersonation of the Logos.
