Hindutva or Cultural Nationalism presents the BJP's conception of Indian nationhood. According to the BJP's philosophical stand, this Hindutva is a nationalist, and not a religious or theocratic, concept. However, this political party has always been criticised by its detractors for adopting, for all practical purposes, the religious or theocratic point of view.
