Hissar

Hissar, also spelled Hisar, is a city in Haryana in India. It headquarters the district of the same name, which for the most part is sandy, yet in rainy years produces good crops of rice, barley, &c., and is noted for its white cattle. It is situated on the Western Yamuna Canal, 102 miles west of of Delhi.
