Hiuen Tsang (Yuan Chwong) was a pious Chinese Buddhist who visited India during the reign of Harshavardhana. He lived in India for 15 years.

He wrote about the conditions prevailing at that time in India.

He became friend of Harshavardhana.

He also visited the courts of Pulekesan II and Narasimhavarman.
