House of Keys

House of Keys is the third estate, the Lower House, in the Isle of Man, consisting of 24 members directly elected by people since 1867. Prior to 1867, they were chosen by themselves, when a vacancy occurred, by presenting to the Governor "two of the oldest and worthiest men in the isle" for his selection.
