Ibn Ata'allah

Ibn Ata'allah (c. 1252-1309), also Al-Iskandari, was and Egyptian Sufi leader who was organizer of Shadhilyah sect. He emphasized that adherents can forgo monastic life to participate in secular life. He wrote the Hakim (Sayings), a work on Sufism.
