Ikinilik

Ikinilik was an Eskimo singer and poet. He was quoted in "The Netsilik Eskimos" (Report of the Fifth Thule Expedition on 1921-24, The Danish Expedition to Arctic North America Incharge of Knud Rasmussen. He emphasized on seasonal pattern of activities. He led a hunters life an sung poems which were both reflective and introspective. Physical life and wonderment at natural world were wonderfully incorporated in the songs which were later collected and published.
