Israel Zangwill
Israel Zangwill (1864 - 1926) was a littérateur, born in London, of Jewish parents in poor circumstances. He was practically self-taught, studied at London University, where he took his degree with triple honours. Later, he became a teacher, then a journalist. He wrote novels and essays, and composed poems. Among his notable works are the "Bachelor's Club," "Old Maid's Club," "Children of the Ghetto," "Dreams of the Ghetto," "The Master," "Without Prejudice," &c.Wisdom & Quotes
