Jagannathpur is in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand in India. This village is the block headquarter with the same name. It is situated at about 45 Kms South - West of Chaibasa. Jagannathpur is historically and culturally important. The Village derives its name from its founder, Raja Jagannath Singh of Porahat. There is an old Shiv Temple for which it is known in the area.
