Jean Dubuffet

Jean Dubuffet (1901-1985), full name Jean Philippe Arthur Dubuffet. was a French painter and sculptor. He is known for his idealistic approach to aesthetics. He embraced so-called "low art" and eschewed traditional standards of beauty in favor of a more authentic and humanistic approach to image-making.
