Jean Paul Sartre

Jean Paul Sartre (1905 — 80) was a leading French existentialist philosopher, novelist, playwright, and critic. He is best known for his work on the nature of human and the structures of consciousness. He is also known for refusing the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1964. Simone de Beauvoir was closely associated with him.
