Joan Baez

Joan Baez (1941- ), full name Joan Chandos Baez, is a US folk singer, songwriter, and civil rights activist. She is founder of Institute for the Study of Non-violence. Her remarkable performances at civil rights demonstrations in the early 1960s made her famous. Her notable albums are - 'Any Day Now' (1968) and 'Diamonds and Rust' (1975).
