Johann Strauss

Johann Strauss (1825—1899), also known as Jahann Strauss II, was an Austrian musical composer, born at Vienna. He was a musical conductor and composer, chiefly of waltz music, and famous as the as “the Waltz King". He is variously known as Johann Strauss Jr., the Younger or the Son, the full name being Johann Baptist Strauss.

His father's name was also Johann Baptist Strauss, chiefly known as Jahann Strauss I (1804 – 1849), also known as Johann Strauss Sr., the Elder or the Father, and was also famous musical composer.
