John Colet
John Colet (1466-1519) was an English Catholic priest, dean of St. Paul's, a patron of learning, a friend and scholar of Erasmus, a liberal and much persecuted man. He was far in advance of his time. He founded and endowed St. Paul's School. He wrote a number of works, chiefly theological, and "Letters to Erasmus"'.Nearby pages
