JOHN COUCH ADAMS

JOHN COUCH ADAMS (1819-1892) was an English astronomer, the discoverer of the planet Neptune.

He actually postulated the existence of an eighth planet of the Earth in 1843. Three years later, Le Verrier discovered this planet called Neptune. However, both of them are given credit for discovering this planet simultaneously.
