John Fiske

John Fiske (1842-1901) was an American writer, born at Hartford, Connecticut, US. He studied at Harvard. In 1869, he lectured at his old university as a Positivist, and was under-librarian from 1872 to 1879. He is the author of a number of works on Darwinism, American history, philosophy, etc.
