John Gregory

John Gregory (1724-1773) was a Scottish physician, grandson of James Gregory (1638-1675), born at Aberdeen, where he became professor of Medicine in 1755, whence ten years later he was translated to fill the corresponding chair in Edinburgh. His works include, among others, "A Comparative View of the State and Faculties of Man with those of the Animal World".
